Day 3 Workshop Ideas

First of all
Survey people googledocs on:
 their current( if necessary supported) internet use ( to include gaming & chat).
concerns regarding going online
perceived barriers to connecting with the world wide web
awareness of how to keep safe online
what they see as the advantages to having an online presence

People
Training would in all likelihood be to staff who support people directly.
There would also be a need to inform managers and senior managers as to what is being offered.
There is perhaps a need to involve care managers/ family at some point.
This would involve liaising with ICT department.
This would probably involve updating safeguarding policies (perhaps writing a new Keeping Safe Online policy)

Subjects 
what the internet is, advantages to being online, , cyberbullying, oversharing, scams, inappropriate/ illegal links, viruses;  keeping safe resources,  for example screenr, of 'how tos', mythbusting, Creative Commons Licences.

Resources:
 hands on using pcs,produce  materials that can be accessed by some of the people we support i.e. pictures and video rather than too much text, keeping safe resources, Longer term resource to include service user led presentations- a celebration of achievements and what can be done
